Easy Diwali Sweet Recipes That You Have To Try

Hungry enough? Fret not, because we have just the thing for you! This Diwali, sweeten your palate with these must-try, easy, Diwali, sweet recipes.
1. Badam Barfis

It’s time to get nutty for Diwali! Whip up these lovely, smooth and gobble-some badam barfis in no time at all. Just one bite will have you savoring these little treats of heaven, all day long!
Ingredients
• 125 gm of
Healthy Alternatives American Almonds
,
soaked, peeled, and ground
• 75 gm of poppy seeds, soaked in milk
• 1-liter of
milk
• 125 gm of khoya
• 200 gm of
Healthy Alternatives Refined Sugar
• 200 gm of
Healthy Alternatives Cow Ghee
• 1/4 tsp.
saffron strands
• 4 green
Healthy Alternatives Cardamoms
Instructions
1.Strain and grind the poppy seeds.
2.Combine this mixture with the almonds, the cardamoms and the milk.
3.Then, blend this mixture until it is smooth and cook it on a slow flame.
4.Once, the mixture thickens, add the khoya, the sugar and the saffron strands.
5.Thicken the mixture, further.
6.Add the ghee and continue cooking until the mixture comes together.
7.Transfer this mixture into a lightly oiled tray. Cut into any desired shape and decorate the barfis with silver leaves.
2. Mawa Malpuas

These golden delights are a must-have traditional, Indian sweet for the festive season! They are fried pancakes dunked in heaps of sugar-syrup for a total explosion of flavor and fun. If you are looking for an easy, at-home recipe for Indian sweets, you have found the one!
Ingredients
• 1 and ½ cup of warm
Milk
• ½ cup of Khoya, grated
• 3/4th cup of
Healthy Alternatives Organic Whole Wheat Flour
• 1 tsp. of
Healthy Alternatives Roasted Saunf
, coarsely grounded
• 2 tsp. of
Healthy Alternatives Refined Sugar
• A pinch of
salt
• A small pinch of
baking powder
•
Healthy Alternative’s Cow Ghee
for frying
For the sugar syrup:
• 1 cup of
Healthy Alternatives Refined Sugar
• ¼ cup of Water
• 2-3 green
Healthy Alternatives Cardamoms
, grounded
• 8-10 Saffron strands
Instructions
1. Add the sugar, the cardamom, the saffron strands and water in a pan and cook until it reaches a syrupy consistency and set the mixture aside.
2. Mix half of the warm milk and khoya until the mixture is well combined.
3. Add half of the flour, too and mix before adding the remaining half. Then, mix again till it is smooth.
4. Add the sugar, saunf, salt and baking powder and mix well.
5. Add the remaining milk, mix well and set it aside for 10 minutes.
6. Heat ghee in a pan, mix the batter and pour a small ladle full of batter in the hot ghee.
7. Simmer the heat to low and fry both sides of the malpuas until they turn golden brown.
8. Remove them from the heat and dip them in the sugar syrup for 2 minutes and serve.
3. Apple Kheer

No festive season is complete without a bowl full of kheer! This apple kheer recipe will, surely, prove to be a total winner at your dinner table, this Diwali! Garnish this dessert with bits of grated dry-fruits and some saffron strands along with a few, thin slices of apple and feel like a gourmet, culinary expert.
Ingredients
• 1.5 cups of
full-fat milk
• 1/2 cup of
apples
,
grated
• 2-3 tsp. of
sweetened condensed milk
• A pinch of
cardamom powder
• A few strands of saffron
• 8 Healthy Alternatives American Almonds, chopped
• 1 tsp. Healthy Alternatives Cow Ghee
Instructions
1. Bring the milk to a boil in a pan and let it simmer on a low flame. Stir frequently to prevent it from burning.
2. Meanwhile, in a smaller pan, heat the ghee and roast the almonds until they turn light golden brown.
3. Add the grated apple to this mixture and saute for 3 minutes or until the mixture turns dry and the apples soften a bit but still retain their crunchy texture.
4. Now, Turn back to the milk. In about 10 mins or so, the milk would have reduced to half the original amount. At this point, add the cardamom and the saffron. Mix well and let it cook for another minute.
5. Now add the condensed milk and the cooked apple-almond mixture. Mix well and serve.
4. Chocolate Kalakand

We love everything chocolate, don’t you? This famous, Indian milk cake gets a chocolatey makeover for the festive season. If chocolate is your go-to comfort food and milk sweets are your calling, then you must try this chocolate kalakand recipe for Diwali!
Ingredients
• 1 cup of unsweetened khoya, grated
• ½ cup of Healthy Alternatives Refined Sugar
• 1 tbsp. of
cocoa powder
• 2-3 tbsp. of milk
• Chopped
nuts
for garnishing
Instructions
1. Mix the cocoa and milk to form a thick paste and set it aside.
2. Add the grated khoya and the sugar to a wide pan kept on low flame. Gently heat and mix for 3-4 minutes, until the khoya thickens and starts rolling around your spatula.
3. Take half of this mixture and pat it firmly at the base of a greased plate. Quickly, add the cocoa powder and milk mixture and stir to combine. After a min, remove.
4. Pat the chocolate mixture firmly and evenly on the layer of the remaining khoya mixture.
5. Add the chopped nuts to garnish.
6. Cool the mixture to room temperature and refrigerate for an hour before cutting it into squares.
